Magpies close in on Shittu deal
The Magpies have reportedly lined up a move for the Nigeria international to bolster their squad for the second half of the season.[LNB]Shittu is well down the pecking order at Bolton and is thought to be keen on a move away from the Reebok Stadium in search of regular first-team action.[LNB]QPR were also thought to be keen on signing Shittu, but Newcastle are hoping to steal a march on their Championship rivals by luring him to St James' Park.[LNB]Magpies boss Chris Hughton is in the market for defensive reinforcements and sees Shittu as a key addition as they look to keep their promotion bid on track.[LNB][LNB]
