South Korea international Lee Chung-yong is expected to be unveiled as a Bolton player next week having been granted a work permit. The 21-year-old midfielder agreed personal terms with the Trotters last week having passed a medical at the Reebok Stadium. And, with his conditional UK work permit now approved, his £2.2million move from FC Seoul is close to being tied up. Lee will join the likes of Paul Robinson, Sean Davis, Sam Ricketts and Zat Knight who have all sealed summer deals with the Lancashire club. The midfielder should be in line for a starting berth in Gary Megson's side when they take on Hibernian at home in a pre-season friendly on 8th August.
