Bolton captain Kevin Davies accepts talks over a new contract may have to wait until the club have strengthened their position in the Barclays Premier League. [LNB]Davies, who will be 35 in March, is among a number of players - including the likes of Gary Cahill, Martin Petrov, Zat Knight and Gretar Steinsson - whose current deals expire next summer. [LNB] Relief: Kevin Davies scored in the 5-0 win over Stoke at the weekend but it was just a third victory in 11 Barclays Premier League games for Bolton[LNB]But with Wanderers having had such a difficult start to the season and currently 18th in the table the striker, who has been at the Reebok Stadium since 2003, admits there are more pressing priorities. [LNB]'There has been no discussion at the moment, but what will be, will be. Everyone knows what I feel about the club,' he told the Bolton News. [LNB]'It isn't something I'm really thinking about. I just want to move us out of this situation in the league. [LNB] Top target: Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are among a host of clubs keeping tabs on Bolton defender Gary Cahill (right) - who is out of contract next summer[LNB]'When the club decide to open talks might depend on the league position. [LNB]'If we are going to find ourselves in a relegation battle with a few games to go then that could have some bearing on whether the chairman (Phil Gartside) is going to be offering contracts. [LNB]'But if we can get out of this position then it will help everyone. [LNB]'We need to string some results together and we have certainly got the squad to do that.'[LNB] Klasnic confident Bolton are on the up after five-star display against StokeChelsea set to test Bolton's resolve with ?8m bid for Arsenal and Spurs target CahillPremier League bulletin: All the latest news from your club todayBolton 5 Stoke 0: Eagles and Klasnic at the double as Trotters gain Cup revengeAll the latest Bolton news, features and opinion [LNB]
