I don't want any regrets - Coyle
olton boss Owen Coyle has warned his players against harbouring any regrets following Saturday's game against Manchester United.[LNB] United have won nine of the last 10 meetings between the two sides in the Premier League, and there is every possibility that record will be extended to 10 from 11 following the encounter at the Reebok Stadium.[LNB]United are rampant at the moment as they have won their last six matches, and in Wayne Rooney possess Europe's most in-form striker with 17 goals in his last 12 games.[LNB]Few neutrals would dare to suggest anything other than a United win, which is why Coyle is demanding the side that takes to the pitch this evening leaves no stone unturned in their quest to turn the formbook on its head.[LNB]"All you can do, when a game like this comes about, is make sure you're at your best," said Coyle, whose side are unbeaten in their last six games at home, conceding just one goal.[LNB]"Ultimately, if you lose because of their better quality on the day, then you can accept that.[LNB]"What I don't want is any regrets, or under-achieving. I want us to make sure we're at our maximum.[LNB]"If we do that then I believe we can earn something from the game.[LNB]"Of course, we love playing against the best players and the best teams.[LNB]"I've good players at my football club. This isn't a case of - with all due respect - a lower league club facing Manchester United.[LNB]"We are a Premier League club who are unbeaten in six at home at the Reebok Stadium.[LNB]"So we're respectful of the opposition, but equally we know that if we give our maximum, as we have done of late, we can win points.[LNB]"That will be our preparation: being respectful and aware of the threat they possess, but also we will impose ourselves on the game and show our qualities.[LNB]"And we do possess qualities, which is why we have picked up the points we have, and we now have to continue in that vein."[LNB]Coyle also dismissed suggestions United's focus will be diverted by the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final in Munich on Tuesday against Bayern.[LNB]"I'll take issue with that. I don't think that will be the case," insisted Coyle.[LNB]"Manchester United are the champions because they don't take their eye off the ball. They're focused and concentrated in every game."[LNB]Although Gary Cahill is poised to end his two month injury lay-off, Coyle is without the suspended Gretar Steinsson, with five others on the treatment table in Stuart Holden, Chris Basham, Gavin McCann, Sean Davis and Joey O'Brien.
