Hull City 1 Bolton 0: Jozy puts the boot into Wanderers

He suffered a swine flu scare. He waited two weeks in a New York hotel for his transfer and visas to overcome legal arguments. He finally got the thumbs-up, immediately travelled halfway across the world next to a screaming baby and jumped in a helicopter from London to Hull. He was named in the squad for his City debut before succumbing to jetlag. No wonder Jozy Altidore could not find his boots. Hull kitman Barry Lowe saved him, reaching into his stockroom, wiping down the loan signing from Villarreal's new boots and proudly handing them over. And after a dramatic impact - he laid on Kamel Ghilas's winner with his second touch from an overhead kick after 28 seconds - the 19-year-old wanted to ensure the boots were safe. Altidore said: 'Look after those boots, Barry, they're mine now.' No wins from two makes unpleasant reading for Bolton boss Gary Megson. He said: 'We've dealt with it before and we'll deal with it again.'
