Gaffer applauds Trotters' workrate

The Trotters have had an indifferent start to the Premier League season with seven points from six games - but Megson has revealed he is more than happy with his players' workrate. In-form Spurs travel to the Reebok Stadium on Saturday, and Megson said that although his players may not be world-beaters in terms of technical ability, the spirit in the dressing room is first-class. "People talk about atmosphere and they talk about the dressing room and the way lads get on but I've never ever been in a position where I've come in and thought that is something we need to address," he said. "The people in the dressing room have changed and changed quite dramatically in the last couple of years but what hasn't changed is the atmosphere amongst them all. "There may be times when our players don't pass the ball well enough or that they don't control the ball well enough or finish, whatever it may be. "But there are never times when you come in and criticise for a lack of effort or they throw the towel in and I think that's born out in the last few games where we've either rescued games late on or gone on to win them late on - they'll keep going for the full allotted time."
