Petrov appeared to catch Baird with aflailing arm and the Fulham defender responded by shoving the Boltonwinger in the face. [LNB]Bolton's physical centre-backpairing of David Wheater and Gary Cahill were effective in crowding outAndrew Johnson and Moussa Dembele, if not always legal. [LNB]Fulham were at least able to cheerthe return to action of striker Bobby Zamora, who came off the benchafter five months out with a broken leg. [LNB] On target: Klasnic scored in the first half with a 10-yard volley [LNB] [LNB]Mark Hughes made one change to hisstarting line-up from Monday's Barclays Premier League draw withChelsea, with Zoltan Gera replacing the injured Damien Duff inmidfield. [LNB]Holden had Bolton's first shot ongoal as he latched onto a knock-down from Davies on the edge of theFulham box but his left-footed effort flew wide. [LNB]Dempsey was dominating the middle ofthe park and he pounced on a loose piece of control from Alonso andreleased Gera down the right, who whipped in a teasing low cross thatwas just too far ahead of Johnson. [LNB] Aussie rules: Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer saves at the feet of Bolton captain Kevin Davies [LNB] [LNB] But it was Bolton who took the leadafter 18 minutes with a left-foot volley from Klasnic after some cleverapproach play from Chung-yong Lee. The South Korean completed a neatone-two with Klasnic on the edge of the Fulham box before FabriceMuamba drilled in a cross that Aaron Hughes failed to deal withcleanly. As the ball dropped inside around the penalty spot, Klasnic wasthe first to react and he rifled his shot past Mark Schwarzer. [LNB]Fulham continued to press andDembele's misplaced pass ended up creating a shooting opportunity forGera but the Hungarian fired over the top.[LNB] Wheater was fortunate not toreceive only a lecture from referee Stuart Attwell after he hauledDembele to the ground in the build-up to a promising move. [LNB]Johnson was lively up front forFulham, trying desperately to steal a yard in between the twocentre-backs but with little reward.[LNB] Bobby's back on the beat: Zamora returned to first-team action after a lengthy lay-off [LNB][LNB]Cahill went through the back ofJohnson once but the new England international also pulled off aperfectly-timed interception on the edge of his own box.[LNB] Fulham were having to battleagainst Bolton's physicality but they did have chances, with BredeHangeland playing Dempsey into space 25 yards out only for the Americanto drag his low shot wide of the near post. [LNB]Fulham made a lively start to thesecond half with Dembele lifting one shot over before forcing Bogdaninto a smart save wiht a low curling effort from the edge of thebox.Muamba was booked by Attwell when he halted Dembele's run byscything him down from behind. [LNB]Tempers were beginning to fray, withPetrov and Baird clashing off the ball. Robinsoncharged furiously to protest and was booked for dissent.[LNB] Murphy tried to bend his shot around the wall butit floated over the far post. Petrov then found himself in acres ofspace in the Fulham box but he took one shot too many and his fiercedrive was tipped around the near post by Schwarzer.
