Johan Elmander has aired his frustration at being played out of position at former employers Bolton.[LNB] The Swede severed ties with the Trotters at the end of last season after allowing his contract to run down.[LNB]He has since signed for Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he is hoping to be deployed as an out-and-out frontman.[LNB]Elmander was often used as right winger during his time at the Reebok and admits to being left perplexed by the club's reluctance to use him through the middle.[LNB]He is now hoping to prove a point to those who doubted him in England when he opens a new chapter in his career in Istanbul.[LNB]"It was really tough," Elmander told Alingas Tidning on his time with Bolton.[LNB]"It is difficult when you think you are doing something well and then you get taken away from that position and placed somewhere where you can't play.[LNB]"You have to do what is best for the team, and I tried to do that.[LNB]"I thought I would be given another chance to prove myself, but I never did."[LNB]
