Davis set to report back earlier
olton star Sean Davis will begin pre-season training much earlier than his team-mates as he bids to be fully fit for the start of next season.[LNB] The 30-year-old made just four appearances after arriving his free transfer from Portsmouth last summer before a knee cartilage injury ended his season.[LNB]"I'll be in two or three times a week when the lads are off," said the former England Under-21 international.[LNB]"I have got to maintain the strength and fitness through the knee, so when everyone reports back for pre-season, I'll hopefully be up there with the fittest.[LNB]"With the injury I have had I need to make sure I don't go over the top and prepare right.[LNB]"Next season, I want to be fit and ready, so I can play as many games as I can."[LNB]
