Davis set for Bolton

Bolton are set to sign Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis on a free transfer, skysports.com understands.

Davis' existing deal at Fratton Park expires later this month and no new contract has been agreed.

The news has alerted Bolton who are hoping to lure the former Fulham and Tottenham man to the Reebok Stadium.

Bolton boss Gary Megson has held a long-term interest in Davis and tried to sign him during the January transfer window.

Davis is believed to have held talks with Bolton and is expected to conclude his move to Lancashire once the transfer window officially opens in July.
