Davis underwent surgery to repair articular cartilage damage three weeks ago, and could now face six months on the sidelines before making a first team return.[LNB]The summer signing, picked up on a free transfer from Portsmouth, is now facing up to the fact that he may not play again this season, but is sure that he can bounce back from the first major injury of his professional career.[LNB]"Obviously it is very frustrating to pick up an injury so soon after joining Bolton," Davis told the Bolton News. "It's a disappointment for me and the club, but I hope to use the experience to make me a stronger, better player.[LNB]"It was my birthday a couple of days before I had the operation, so there have been a few mixed emotions. But I have got a lot of confidence in getting back quickly because I have had plenty of support from everyone at the club.[LNB]"I want to repay the faith in the manager and the chairman for bringing me here, and it's disappointing that I haven't really had the opportunity to show the supporters what I can do yet."[LNB][LNB]
