Megson has been in charge at the Reebok Stadium since October 2007 and kept the club in the Premier League against the odds last term.[LNB]However, he has failed to win over a section of supporters and was verbally abused after the 2-2 draw at Blackburn on January 28.[LNB]One Sunday newspaper has claimed Bolton are already making plans to replace Megson with the highly-rated Coyle, who has performed an outstanding job at Burnley since arriving from St Johnstone in November 2007.[LNB]Yet the Trotters have refuted the claims and have described the report as "unfounded, wholly inaccurate and misleading speculation".[LNB]A club spokesman added: "It is just rubbish."[LNB]Coyle is highly regarded at Bolton after a brief spell as a player in the mid-1990s when he helped the club to win promotion to the top flight.[LNB]Since entering management, he has earned a reputation as one the game's brightest young bosses and has this season guided Burnley to victories over Fulham, Chelsea and Arsenal in the Carling Cup.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
