// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Gary Cahill admits he believes that he is ready to play for England.[LNB] The Bolton star had an excellent campaign last season, and he has continued his out-standing form this term.[LNB]He has been rewarded with a call-up to Fabio Capello's England squad and is now being tipped to make it to next summer's World Cup finals in South Africa.[LNB]Indeed the England boss was present at St Andrews on Saturday to take in Cahill's performance as Bolton beat Birmingham.[LNB]"I definitely think I can play for England one day," said Cahill. "[LNB]"You have got to have that confidence in your own ability."[LNB]Bolton boss Gary Megson has long been singing Cahill's praises and is fully behind his recent call-up.[LNB]"We knew he had ability and if he'd gone somewhere else, we would never be able to sign him now for the kind of money we paid," said Megson - who paid Aston Villa £5million for Cahill last year.[LNB]"As for England, Gary's got to accept that he has two world-class centre halves in front of him but if he keeps playing and doing little wrong then it won't be long before he's called up."[LNB]
