Buddies douse Dorman talk
St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson believes Andy Dorman will brush off renewed speculation surrounding his future.
The midfield star has once again been linked with a summer switch to SPL giants Rangers, while Sheffield United and Bolton are also reported to be tracking his progress.
The 26-year-old has notched four times in his last four games to extend an eye-catching run which has brought eight goals in 12 outings.
However, MacPherson insists Dorman has grown accustomed to the constant rumours, having found himself the topic of transfer talk on a regular basis since arriving in Scotland from New England Revolution in 2007.
"There's nothing other than speculation about Andy and it's been there for some time now," MacPherson said in the Daily Record.
"There always seems to be some other club that pops out of the woodwork but where they come from we don't know.
"Andy's had to deal with speculation for the best part of 16 months since he joined the club but it doesn't affect his performance and it's certainly not affected his goals.
"When he joined us last January people sat up and took notice and wondered how St Mirren had managed to get him.
"He had a slow start to the season which we put down to lack of fitness and sharpness but he has that now. You can see the quality he has and he's not disappointed anyone."
