Brown: The season starts here
Hull boss Phil Brown claimed he was always confident his side would get their season up and running against Bolton.
A 1-0 win at the KC Stadium brought welcome relief for the Tigers after a dismal end to their last campaign and defeats in the season openers to Chelsea and Spurs.
Brown said: "The two teams we had played so far are world-class teams, they will be winning trophies no doubt.
"As far as we were concerned this was all about starting our season and we have.
"I wasn't too impressed by the first-half performance but in the second we got hold of the game and could have won it comfortably.
"But 1-0 is a lovely scoreline, I'll take it any day."
