Boss wants forwards to shine bright

Megson has seen his team tumble down the table after collecting only three points out of a possible 15. Next up is a meeting with Fulham on Saturday and a visit to Craven Cottage, a venue where they have not won in the league for 17 years.[LNB]Not only are Bolton shipping goals, they are also failing to hurt teams and that situation concerns Megson with a trip to struggling Wolves to follow next week.[LNB]He said: "It is like a golfer...you can knock six foot putts in until the cows come home in practice. It is entirely different doing it to win the Open.[LNB]"It is the same in football. In training the finishing is invariably good.[LNB]"But it is entirely different in a game when there are thousands of people about and that real intensity that surrounds Premier League football.[LNB]"Does it come down to mental strength? That's a big part of football, as it is in other sports."[LNB]Kevin Davies weighed in with 12 league goals last season and Matt Taylor with 10. This time around they have managed only five between them.[LNB]Johan Elmander is also struggling, having found the target only once at the top level, the same as on-loan Ivan Klasnic.[LNB]The Croatian is taking time to settle after arriving from Nantes and has made only one start in the league.[LNB]Megson said: "It will always be the same for centre forwards throughout the world, not just at Bolton.[LNB]"You are judged as a forward on the goals you have scored. Johan has not scored enough. Two of our people, Kevin Davies and Matt Taylor, who got a decent amount of goals last season are not scoring.[LNB]"Matt looks like our best chance at the moment as he has got that goal threat in him."[LNB]Megson expects a positive attitude from his team despite the derby defeat by Blackburn at the weekend.[LNB]He added: "The only thing that counts is results and picking up points. We are in the bottom three, so we either put the white flag up or roll our sleeves up.[LNB]"The latter is the thing we will do - as we have done it in the past. We know Fulham is a difficult place to go but we have to try and get out of this bad run."[LNB][LNB]
