Wanderers host Manchester City on Saturday looking to end a sequence of five Premier League matches without victory.[LNB]After being thrashed by Chelsea and Aston Villa, Megson's side were beaten 2-0 at the Reebok Stadium by local rivals Blackburn and threw away a 1-0 lead at Fulham in a contest that finished 1-1.[LNB]Bolton then sunk below Wolves to 19th in the table last weekend after going down 2-1 at Molineux, but Megson insists it has been a run of bad fortune rather than bad form and is confident it will not be long before his team turns the corner.[LNB]"We are not that far away - we always look at the stats from the games," Megson said. "We missed a sitter against Blackburn and then hit the bar, and 30 seconds later we are picking it out of the back of our net - that has cost us on that occasion.[LNB]"When we went down to Fulham we were 1-0 up and the lad crosses, it hits Gary Cahill on the shin and goes in the net.[LNB]"And last week we give a free-kick away after three minutes, there are two people offside when the ball goes in, and they stick it in.[LNB]"This will all be seen as excuses because of the situation we are in at the moment, but it is also facts.[LNB]"We have got good, honest players who will have a right good go. When we can get it right, we can get results as we have proven before.[LNB]"I don't think things are particularly falling for us at the moment, but we can feel sorry for ourselves or we can try and make things fall for us."[LNB]With West Ham coming to the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday, Bolton face the inviting prospect of two home fixtures in the space of four days, although the visit of high-flying City - who overcame league leaders Chelsea last weekend and Arsenal in the Carling Cup before that - will provide a tough test on Saturday.[LNB]Mark Hughes' team have lost only once so far this season and Megson believes the Eastlands outfit are genuine contenders for a Champions League spot.[LNB]"They were from the moment they started bringing in the players that they have done," Megson said.[LNB]"The people who bought the football club may have been criticised for just throwing money at it and creating a bit of a circus, but I don't think it has turned out like that at all.[LNB]"They seem to have accepted that it will take a while to bring in the kind of players that they want, but they are prepared to back it and buy some of the best in the world.[LNB]"They are going brilliantly, not just getting a result against Chelsea but also against Arsenal the week before.[LNB]"You look at the squad and it is very strong, and it looks like it is just going to get stronger and stronger."[LNB][LNB] Next Premier Manager to Leave 2009/10 Next Manager to Go: Megson G 2/1
