Bolton's Lee suffers injury

olton midfielder Chung-Yong Lee was carried off during the 3-1 friendly win at Newport County with what looked like a serious leg injury.

Lee, 23, was left in agony following a challenge from Newport midfielder Tom Miller in the first half of the pre-season friendly and after treatment from paramedics he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher with his right leg strapped in a brace.

The South Korea international has been a consistent performer for Bolton since his move to the Reebok in 2009 and it remains to be seen if he will miss the start of the new Premier League season.

Ivan Klasnic scored twice, with a Tom Miller own goal adding to the Trotters' tally. Elliott Buchanan had given Newport the lead before Bolton took control.
