Wellington Silva in line for Bolton start

Wellington Silva may be named in Bolton's starting XI as Neil Lennon has admitted he will consider accommodating the Arsenal loanee against Preston.

The winger has not started any of Wanderers' past five games after Lennon, who has been playing a diamond formation, suggested his performances had not been good enough, but he earned some praise from the Northern Irishman after winning a stoppage-time penalty in midweek.

Kaiyne Woolery will hope to overcome the illness which forced him to miss out completely against Ipswich while Emile Heskey's hip injury may force him to sit out a third straight fixture.

Max Clayton, David Wheater (both hamstring), Dorian Dervite and Ben Amos (both ankle) are all sidelined for Bolton as they begin their new era following the completion of a takeover by a group fronted by ex-striker Dean Holdsworth.

Preston will make the short trip to the Macron Stadium knowing Joe Garner cannot feature.

The striker accrued his 10th caution of the season against Nottingham Forest and must therefore serve a two-match suspension, so Eoin Doyle, Callum Robinson or Jordan Hugill will come in up front.

Paul Gallagher will be involved as he continues to put off a hernia operation but Alan Browne (hip) and Neil Kilkenny (knock) will be assessed after missing the trip to Forest.

Simon Grayson continues to be without Jermaine Beckford, Stevie May, Liam Grimshaw (all knee) and Chris Humphrey (shin).
