BOLTON v Hull: Gardner still sidelined as safe Trotters see out the season

Midfielder Ricardo Gardner has been ruled out of Bolton's final two matches of the Barclays Premier League season after failing to recover from a hamstring injury. Gardner has not played since coming off injured in the defeat at Portsmouth on April 18, and with Wanderers safe from relegation there is no need to rush him back. Looking forward: Gardner can set his sights on next season now Another week's training means defender Danny Shittu could make the squad for Saturday's match against Hull after a calf injury.   Provisional squad: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Cahill, A O'Brien, Samuel, Taylor, Muamba, McCann, Elmander, Basham, K Davies, Al Habsi, Hunt, Smolarek, Puygrenier, Cohen, Shittu, M Davies.
