Bolton captain Kevin Davies has been charged with improper conduct by the FootballAssociation.

Davies faces a fine and a warning about his future behaviour over comments hemade about referee Mark Clattenberg after Wanderers' 0-0 draw with Fulham onFebruary 6.

Charge: Davies faces a heavy fine and warning about his future behaviour

Clattenberg denied Davies a late winner, yet it was hard to see - either at the time or in replays - any plausible reason why the referee disallowed an apparently legal goal.

Afterwards the striker claimed Clattenberg has a personal issue with him: 'Every time he referees us, I don't expect to get anything.'

Davies has until March 12 to respond to the charge.
