Tim Ream admits Bolton's struggle for consistency this season is a major source of frustration in the Reebok Stadium dressing room.

Dougie Freedman's side failed to build on their weekend triumph over Birmingham by going down 1-0 at Leeds on New Year's Day. The Trotters last recorded consecutive victories in March and their ongoing trials are undermining their fading prospects of an instant return to the Premier League.

"For some reason or other we can't put two wins together and that's the monkey on our back, right now," USA defender Ream told the Bolton News.

"We are putting a lot of pressure on ourselves to try and get that second win in a row to put a string of games together. But it's not happening for us.

"In order to get a streak going you need to win more than one game and it's one of those things everyone knows."
