Bolton boss Gary Megson has played down speculation that he is set to make a fresh move for Swansea star Ferrie Bodde.[LNB] A host of Premier League clubs were chasing the Dutch midfielder earlier this season and were poised to make bids in January.[LNB]But Bodde suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in November, which ended his season.[LNB]Despite his injury Bolton had been linked with a fresh bid, but Megson insists that is not the case.[LNB]"We had an interest in him but he was unfortunate enough to pick up a really bad injury," he explained. [LNB]"I think people have put two and two together from there with the recent stuff."[LNB]Indeed Bodde's current boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed that the player would not be fit to play again this season, even if the club made the play-offs.[LNB]"I think the play-off final was the romantic idea, but the realistic idea is that he will probably be back for pre-season now in the summer," said Martinez. [LNB]"He has been working hard. His knee is in fantastic shape, probably stronger than the other knee now.[LNB]"He will be back for pre-season and it a fantastic sight to see Ferrie so excited about next season."[LNB]
