The Baggies midfielder still has one year remaining on his current deal at The Hawthorns with the option of a further year in the club's favour. And amid rumours of interest from the Premier League, including Bolton and Wolves, Di Matteo has confirmed he is in talks with the 30-year-old in regard to extending his stay. "Yes, he's been offered a new deal," said Albion's head coach. "Hopefully he will sign it."
