German second division side Bochum said on Friday that they are to sign Japan's attacking midfielder Yusuke Tasaka from Kawasaki Frontale after a medical.

The 27-year-old has played 104 matches and scored 11 goals for Kawasaki since his arrival there in 2007. He will put pen to paper after the customary medical scheduled for next Tuesday.

"Tasaka has been a Kawasaki Frontale player for a long time. With him, we'll have an experienced professional who will liven up our offensive play," said Jens Todt, sporting director at Bochum.

Tasaka will be the fourth from the J.League to play for the club in western Germany after Shinji Ono (2007-2010), Takashi Inui (2011-12) and North Korean Chong Tese (2010-2012).

Bochum finished 11th last season and begin their 2012-13 campaign against Dynamo Dresden at the start of August.
