Rumours - Gerrard and Terry fell out over scandal

Steven Gerrard could be in for a very uncomfortable time if some of the rumours I'm hearing come out in the press over the next month or so.

Back in April the internet was awash with unsubstantiated rumours that Gerrard had got a 16-year-old pregnant. I reported that here.

His wife Alex Curran was quick to defend the Liverpool and England star however, and rubbish the rumours as nothing more than scurrilous gossip. Here's what she said.

Now the Sun are reporting that Gerrard and John Terry fell out during the World Cup - and that it took the intervention of David Beckham to keep things civil.

Here's where it gets interesting. According to one our Football.co.uk readers, Gerrard is wrapped up in a scandal that everybody in the England team knows about. It involves another woman.

At the gossip site Pistonheads.com, a contributor has claimed that Terry was furious about Gerrard's scandal - and the fact that he was allowed to keep the England captaincy when Terry had it stripped after admitting to an affair.

We're not at liberty to go into any further details. We'll leave that up to you.
