Rumours - Milner and Dzeko top of City shopping list

Manchester City have been linked with just about every decent player on the planet in recent months, so it's hard to know which gossip to go with.

Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard, Ronaldo, Kaka, Pele, Eusabio, Bobby Charlton - been there, done that. And who knows, one of those might just happen.

And with UEFA set to bring in new financial regulations in 2012, City really do need to splash the cash in a major way these next two seasons to make the most of their bulging bank balance.

So who's next? Well, according to reports, James Milner and Edin Dzeko are top of the Roberto Mancini wanted list.

Some sources are suggesting City have already put in a bid for Wolfsburg striker Dzeko, who is valued at around £34 million.

City are also being linked with moves for Real Madrid pair Gonzalo Higuain and Fernando Gago - who could be surplus to requirements when Jose Mourinho gets things organised at the Bernabeu.
