Blackpool have signed former Sunderland winger Andy Welsh from Major League Soccer club Toronto.
The 23-year-old left Sunderland earlier this year to join the MLS club, but has now returned to the Championship after signing a one-year deal with the Seasiders.
Manchester-born Welsh scored once in 15 appearances for Toronto.
In the build-up to Friday's transfer deadline, Seasiders boss Simon Grayson admitted: "We are working hard behind the scenes to try and get some players in still as normal.
"We have a few bids in for players, talks to agents - trying to conclude things so hopefully by earlier than midnight Friday we'll have a few players in."
