Trial trio impress boss Holloway

Winger Ishmel Demontagnac and defender Will Haining are thought to be on the verge of deals while Holloway will take a closer look at former Chelsea and Espanyol forward Enrique de Lucas. The trio caught the eye during the 4-2 friendly win over Oldham on Sunday, where Demontagnac continued his impressive pre-season form - a far cry from the off-field disciplinary problems he suffered at Walsall which resulted in his contract being terminated. "I am thinking about working with him (Demontagnac), though he has to keep behaving himself on and off the field," said Holloway in the Blackpool Gazette. "His basic fitness is nowhere near what it needs to be yet and I shouldn't really be playing him but he has got some fantastic ability. "Will Haining did ever so well at Carlisle in the previous game so I thought I'd give him a start at Oldham and he showed us what he is, which is a very solid player. He doesn't panic and I don't think he could have done much better. "De Lucas' pedigree is unbelievable - if he was a dog he'd win Crufts. It is absolutely fantastic where he has been but he told me he is only 60% fit. We'll give him a bit of work on Monday to see if he is ready and see if he's one of the people who might be able to help me."
