Terrors repel second Kenneth bid

Dundee United have described Blackpool's improved offer for defender Garry Kenneth as "an insult".The Championship side have offered £100,000 for the centre-half, with the sum doubling after a year. [LNB]However, Tannadice chairman Stephen Thompson told BBC Scotland: "The offer is an insult. They are miles away from our valuation of Gary. [LNB]"They can come back four or five times if they want but they are nowhere near our valuation with their bid." [LNB]The original approach from the Seasiders came last week, with two instalments of £75,000 on offer. [LNB]"Someone like Danny Fox goes for £1.8m (Celtic to Burnley) and he can't lace the boots of (United full-back) Paul Dixon or (Hearts defender) Lee Wallace," added an irate Thompson. [LNB]Kenneth has played in almost every game for United this season, and has eight Scotland caps at Under-21 level. [LNB]The 22-year-old has been on the Tannadice club's books since February 2004, and made his first-team debut a year later in a Scottish Cup win over Queen of the South.
