Southern: Adam's gamble paying off
Adam, 23, joined from Rangers in the summer after a successful loan spell at Bloomfield Road last term.
Scotland boss George Burley has been highly impressed with Adam's early-season form and rewarded him with a starting role in Saturday's 2-0 friendly defeat in Japan.
"He deserves it," said Southern. "He came to Blackpool full-time in the summer and took a gamble at the age of 23 to leave Rangers and Scotland in search of regular first-team football.
"It's paying off for him at the moment and myself and all the Blackpool fans are delighted for him."
