Seasiders swoop for Coleman

Blackpool have snapped up highly-rated Everton full-back Seamus Coleman on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old Republic of Ireland Under-21 international had also been a target for Queens Park Rangers, but has opted to head to Bloomfield Road to gain experience.

Coleman joined the Toffees in January 2009 for £60,000 from Sligo Rovers and has already made a first-team impact at Goodison Park.

He has made seven senior appearances for Everton to date, having made his debut in late October in a Europa League clash with Benfica.

Coleman has since been handed a further six outings, including three as a substitute in the Premier League.
