Seasiders snare loan duo

Blackpool signed two players on loan transfer deadline day in an attempt to lift themselves away from the relegation zone.

Lee Hughes arrives at Bloomfield Road from Oldham Athletic until the end of the season while Plymouth Argyle midfielder Simon Walton has also joined the Seasiders.

The 32-year-old Hughes is a former West Brom forward who has found the net 18 times in 36 league starts this term.

Walton joined Pilgrims for £750,000 last summer but has struggled to establish himself in Paul Sturrock's starting line-up this season.
