Experienced Sheffield United goalkeeper Paul Gerrard has agreed a loan switch to Blackpool for the rest of the season.
Seasiders manager Simon Grayson is delighted with his latest capture who he believes will help the club steer clear of the Championship's relegation zone.
Gerrard said of the 35-year-old on Blackpool's official website: "He's had some big moves. He's played for Oldham, Forest, Sheffield United and Everton so he's a good experienced goalkeeper that we can call upon whenever needed.
"He's got a good pedigree and he knows he's got competition for a place to get into the team, but that's what we want.
"I've spoken to a few people who've worked with him and they've said he's a good trainer, a good experienced pro and he knows what it's all about.
"I want players to be full of confidence and who are confident in their own ability but also pushing the other people in their position to get to new and better heights."
