Seasiders snap up Parker

The 22-year-old has decided to try his luck in England after scoring 23 goals in 124 league games for the Saints.

Seasiders boss Colin Hendry was delighted with the capture, telling the club's official website: "He had received a number of offers from Scottish Premier sides, but he fancied coming to England.

"He is a very quick footballer and we have managed to get him under the freedom of contract.

"I know the lad and he is something that we don't really have at this club, he is a different type of player to what we have got, which gives us a bit of a balance."
