Blackpool manager Simon Grayson is pleased to have finally captured Hull City striker Stephen McPhee on a two-and-a-half year deal.
The Seasiders boss had failed with two previous attempts to sign the 26-year-old former Port Vale forward who has managed to find the net only three times in 40 appearances for the Tigers.
"We tried to do something in August, but Phil (Brown) didn't want to do it because he didn't have enough cover, and then we tried to do it in November as a loan deal with a view to January 1 move," Grayson told Blackpool's official website.
"However, Phil got a couple of injuries and decided it wasn't the right time for him to let him go so at the third time of asking we've got him now.
"He's been around the Hull first team all season, he wants to get a run of games, he wants to be part of a team and we've got a good team here.
"He knows that he's got a fight to get into the team to start with, but he's prepared to take that challenge and I'm looking forward to him being involved."
