Seasiders seal Hammill loan

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has won the race to sign Liverpool winger Adam Hammill on a long-term loan arrangement.

The 20-year-old was wanted by several other clubs after impressing on loan with Southampton last term.

Grayson said: "I'm pleased to get him because there was a lot of competition for his signature, and the lad was desperate to come here, which is good.

"I think he's a good footballer, can play on either wing, can play off the striker as well, and he's got good experience for such a young lad.

"He spent last year at Southampton on-loan and the year before that in Scotland with Dunfermline, so I'm glad to have won the race for his signature."
