Almost exactly 12 months after leaving Leicester City, Ian Holloway has a new job after being confirmed as Blackpool's new manager.

The 46-year-old, who has also enjoyed spells in charge of Bristol Rovers, QPR and Plymouth Argyle, has penned a one-year deal with the Seasiders with the option of a further 12 months.

Chairman Karl Oyston told the club's official website: "We're delighted to be able to welcome a manager of Ian's calibre to Bloomfield Road.

"He's a very professional and thorough person who ticked all the boxes and who has an excellent track record. He's hungry to take the club forward."
