Seasiders hoping for new signings

Holloway has held meetings with chairman Karl Oyston about his budget and which players he plans to bring in. Oyston has given him the green light and Holloway is happy with the backing he is getting. "I had a long chat with the chairman and he has given me total clarity about what we can do and how we can do it," Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette. "The chairman was great with how he helped - people need to know this because he was absolutely fantastic. "He said there were two problems and that we'd deal with the short-term one (getting a defender in) and then the long-term (signing players throughout the remainder of the month). So that's what we've done. "We've got the infrastructure in place and we can talk about things and make a few offers and that's what we are doing. We are actually trying to buy our own players (rather than loan them) in the positions I think we are light on."
