Keigan Parker will stay at Blackpool until at least the end of next season after the club chose to take up an option to extend his contract by 12 months.
The Scottish striker arrived at Bloomfield Road on a free transfer from St Johnstone at the start of the season and initially signed a one-year deal.
However, his form has impressed Seasiders boss Colin Hendry sufficiently for him to take up the option and also to open talks about a long-term contract for the 22-year-old.
Parker is Blackpool's leading scorer after finding the target 12 times, despite struggling to force his way into the first team during the early stages of the campaign.
