Blackpool have been boosted by the news that Charlie Adam has joined the club on a permanent deal.
The Seasiders have paid Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers £500,000 for his services.
The 23-year-old, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at the club last term, has signed a two-year deal, with the option of an extra year and becomes the club's record signing.
He is expected to join up with the squad ahead of Tuesday night's friendly against Everton where he will be unveiled in front of the Blackpool fans.
Speaking to the club's official website, manager Ian Holloway said: "I'm absolutely delighted to have signed Charlie.
"He played a massive part in keeping the club in the division and, having watched all the DVDs from last season and listened to the staff and supporters, I know exactly what he can bring to this club."
