Seasiders boss ready to wield axe

The Seasiders were beaten 2-1 at home by relegation-threatened Sheffield Wednesday and Holloway was furious with their display. Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Barry Bannan and Keith Southern are all pushing for recalls after being reduced to the role of substitute against the Owls. Strikers Stephen McPhee and Billy Clarke remain on the sidelines due to injury and attacking midfielder Hameur Bouazza is away on international duty with Algeria. Holloway is demanding an improvement against the Hornets after defeat against Wednesday cost his side the chance to move into the play-off places. Holloway said: "We've got to get back to the drawing board, back to work and find the right response."
