Seasiders duo to miss Crewe clash
Right-back Eardley, who arrived at Bloomfield Road last week from Oldham in a £350,000 transfer, and midfielder Vaughan are in the Wales squad for Wednesday's friendly in Montenegro.
Holloway could make changes for the trip to Gresty Road and hand opportunities to the likes of Billy Clarke and Brett Ormerod, both substitutes in Saturday's 1-1 draw at QPR.
Holloway said: "I have to give everyone a chance to show what they can do as I'm sure there will be someone people don't expect to stand out that will come good this season."
Defender Danny Coid is definitely sidelined with a hairline fracture on his tibia.
