Seasiders confirm Parkes departure

Parkes was appointed as caretaker manager in December following Simon Grayson's switch to Leeds and he successfully kept the club in the Championship.[LNB]He stated on a number of occasions that he would be interested in staying at the helm but he has now had a change of heart.[LNB]Chairman Karl Oyston, who met with Parkes last week, announced the news on the club's official website.[LNB]Oyston must now start searching for a replacement after Parkes informed his bosses he would be stepping aside for family reasons.[LNB]It is understood that Bury boss Alan Knill is on the shortlist for the full-time position at Bloomfield Road.[LNB][LNB]
