Seasiders boss sees silver lining

The Tractor Boys took the lead through Jack Colback before veteran striker Brett Ormerod equalised only for the Seasiders to see all their hard work undone when Owen Garvan scored Town's winner in the 77th minute.

Charlie Adam had earlier missed a penalty for Blackpool, with referee Eddie Ilderton the centre of attention for that decision as well as the dismissals of Ian Evatt and Rob Edwards.

Holloway told the club's official website: "I would have loved a cup run but I'm delighted it wasn't the league.

"Were we going to win the FA Cup? Probably not. I wouldn't have minded a run in it and I felt we'd done more that enough to get a draw."

He added: "They're not a bad team, though, I have to say that. They've got some decent players but I thought we were, personally speaking, the better team."
