Rachubka signs for Pool

Blackpool have secured the permanent signing of on-loan goalkeeper Paul Rachubka.

The 26-year-old joined the Seasiders on loan in January after falling out of favour at Huddersfield Town and played a key role in their successful late season run which culminated in promotion via the play-offs.

The former Manchester United trainee made 11 appearances for Blackpool last term and has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

"I spoke with his agent and said that we would not be offering him a contract," Huddersfield boss Andy Ritchie told the club's official website.

"The decision had nothing to do with his ability it is just that we are well blessed with goalkeepers."
