Player gong for Blackpool's Adam

Four of Adam's 11 league goals this season came last month. The 24-year-old Scot began his scoring streak against Cardiff and followed this by getting on the scoresheet in his side's next three consecutive home games, including a goal in the Seasiders' epic 3-2 home win against Watford. Adam's strikes have been crucial in maintaining Blackpool's position among the Championship play-off contenders. Also short-listed for the January award were Peter Whittingham of Cardiff, Chris Cohen of Nottingham Forest and Scunthorpe's Garry Thompson.
