Blackpool have failed to land Brett Pitman after the Bournemouth striker rejected terms offered by the Premier League club.
The Seasiders were believed to have agreed a fee in the region of £400,000 with the League One club for the 22-year-old hitman.
Pitman bagged 28 goals for the Cherries last season and helped himself to a hat-trick in last weekend's 5-1 rout of Peterborough United.
However, after travelling to the north-west for talks with the Seasiders, the striker has turned down a move to Bloomfield Road.
A Bournemouth club statement read: "Brett travelled to the north-west to discuss personal terms but failed to agree a deal."
