Parkes leaves Seasiders

Blackpool have revealed that caretaker manager Tony Parkes will not be taking charge on a permanent basis.
Parkes took the reins in December following previous manager Simon Grayson's departure to Leeds United and he successfully kept the Seasiders in the Championship.
However, he is believed to have rejected the opportunity to take the job on a permanent basis after being unable to agree terms and a transfer budget with chairman Karl Oyston.
Oyston has now confirmed that the search is on for a new manager with Bury's Alan Knill, Cambridge United's Gary Brabin and former Plymouth Argyle and Leicester City boss Ian Holloway all potential candidates.
Steve Thompson, who assisted Parkes in the recently completed season, is also believed to be on the managerial shortlist.
