Blackpool striker Keigan Parker has apologised after being charged with drink-driving on Thursday.

The 23-year-old former St Johnstone player is due in court next week following his arrest.

"I've let everyone down, the manager, the chairman, my team-mates and more importantly the supporters," he said in a statement on the club's official website.

"I know that as a professional footballer, people especially youngsters look up to me and my actions are not those of someone in such a privileged position.

"I cannot apologise enough for the embarrassment this has caused the club and the supporters."
